LeanCiti nominated
After having been nominated for the CODE_n award at this year’s CeBIT, LeanCiti is now nominated for two further awards. LeanCiti is a nominee for the Best of Both Berlin startup award in May and a nominee for the Ecosummit Berlin “Best Smart Green Startup” award. Their nomination for the Ecosummit award is based on LeanCiti’s potential to save significant amounts of electricity and thus contribute to more environmentally friendly city planning.
SangamTech has developed LeanCiti, a social-based platform that enables users (whether they be inhabitants or city planners) to view, analyze, plan and trade electricity, water and gas resources based on current and predicted consumption and monitored greenhouse gas emission.
Usage data is collected from residents of a defined community or city through a social network platform. Once users share their data, they too can view and compare their consumption to others’. Users can be defined as households, building operators, local stores, factories, energy producers and more.
Founded in Israel in 2013, LeanCiti has managed to raise 250k in funding from private investors until now.
