Currently, Brian is Sr. Vice President & General Manager of the TIBCO Analytics Product Group within TIBCO Software. Formerly, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Jaspersoft, which was acquired by TIBCO in April 2014.
Brian joined Jaspersoft in 2005 as its first independent Board member and then became CEO in 2007. Prior to Jaspersoft, he was Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer at Informatica Corporation, the leading data integration software company. Prior to Informatica, Mr. Gentile served as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Aspect Software (in San Jose, California) and Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Brio Software.
Mr. Gentile has also held several Senior Executive and Chief Marketing Officer roles within large, US-based technology companies such as Sun Microsystems and Apple Computer. He served for seven years as a Public Governor on the Pacific Stock & Options Exchange (in San Francisco, California), 3 years on the NYSE/Arca Ethics & Business Conduct Committee, and is currently on the Board of Directors of WCC Smart Search & Match, a Netherlands-based software/platform company, while acting as an occasional advisor to several other Silicon Valley-based technology companies.
