Continuing our ambitious European trip to share the Big Data knowledge, we stopped for the third time in Paris, where on the 10th of March, we hosted another great event for our Parisian community.
This time, the event took place at Usine IO, a 1500 sqm innovation and hardware prototyping platform located in the heart of Paris, equipped with machines, design areas, coworking spaces & offices for inventors, entrepreneurs, startups and larger corporations around the world.
It is a resourceful place dedicated to hardware technologies and startups and the launchpad for any hardware product (hardware, furniture, IoT, cleantech, healthcare, robotics). Check out the list of their current members, startups worth keeping an eye on.
The event kicked off with yet another amazing presentation from Francisco Webber, the Inventor and Co-Founder of Cortical.io, a Vienna based startup which allows its clients to develop intelligent applications that analyse text in real time, in any language, through the power of the Retina Engine. His presentation, Applications of Semantic Folding intrigued the audience and raised multiple questions which resulted into a very engaged interaction with the public.
The second speaker of the evening was Laurent Marchou, the IoT and Robotics Open Innovation Director at Orange. His inspiring talk, How the IoT Market may change our Digital Life due to the Data Tsunami it may involve emphasized the importance of all connected devices and how making use of the available data, alongside the continuous technological progress will completely change our lives for the better. Their strategy and future plans have just been recently announced at their 4th annual Hello Show.
As soon as the presentations were over, our speakers were surrounded by captivated minds who wanted to enrich their knowledge, whilst the other attendees started networking with each other, sharing their opinions and stories.
We are very excited to continue growing our community in Paris and Europe, so keep an eye on our Meetup Page and our Events Calendar in order to find out all the updates about our upcoming event in Paris, on the 26th of May.
