The new Google ChatGPT competitor is here: Apprentice Bard AI. The tech giant’s team is now beta-testing an artificially intelligent chatbot called “Google Bard AI” which generates similar responses to ChatGPT. Google has been declared the code red about the ChatGPT threat for some time now, focusing on AI. The business is ready soon to see the rewards of its intensive artificial intelligence research. Can it stop the rise of OpenAI?

Google Bard AI: The latest hero in the Google ChatGPT AI war
What is Google Bard AI? A Google internal AI chatbot called “Apprentice Bard” with similar responses to ChatGPT is currently being tested. Like OpenAI’s GPT series of language models underpin ChatGPT, Google’s ChatBot is founded on LaMDA technology. LaMDA, which stands for “Language Model for Dialogue Applications,” was created by Google Research in 2017. Yes, this is the same LaMDA that a Google engineer feared had become sentiment.
Google reportedly has requested that the LaMDA team prioritize its efforts to counteract the growth of ChatGPT. According to reports, Googl Bard AI is visually similar to ChatGPT. Users can interact with the chatbot in a number of ways, including by typing questions into the dialogue box and receiving answers; they can also leave feedback using the same interface.
CNBC claims to have seen examples indicating the bot’s answers include information about recent events, which ChatGPT isn’t capable of doing due to its restricted understanding of anything that happened after 2021. If you ask Apprentice Bard AI if there will be more layoffs at Google, he knows the answer.
According to the same source, Google has been experimenting with several different versions of its homepage. One of Google’s homepages, inspired by ChatGPT, provides question suggestions in place of the “I’m feeling lucky” button in the search box. A conversation icon appeared to the right of the search bar on the test webpage. Results for a user’s query will appear in a gray bubble below the search bar. This time, you’ll get responses that sound more like people wrote them than by Google. Users will also be provided with many suggested follow-up questions under the results for further exploration.
Google Bard AI chatbot is also rumored to have taken over for Google’s previous intelligent chatbot, Meena. According to Google employees, Bard’s answers have recently become more accurate.
Google has been working hard to implement an AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT into its services, but when this happens is still up in the air. One thing that is very evident is that Google is getting serious about stopping the spread of ChatGPT.

Google Apprentice Bard vs. ChatGPT
Apprentice Bard’s capacity to incorporate recent events into its responses is the most notable difference between it and ChatGPT.
Google Bard AI has not made its official debut yet. However, according to the news, the differences from ChatGPT will be as follows:
- Google Apprentice Bard AI will be able to answer real-time questions.
- You need to make one minor adjustment to your Google settings to get your regular search results when using Google Bard AI. In ChatGPT, only text responses are returned.
- Google Apprentice Bard is based on Lambda. ChatGPT, on the other hand, is based on GPT.
- ChatGPT has its own plagirim detector called AI Text Classifier. This feature is not yet available for Apprentice Bard AI.
- Google Apprentice Bard AI is, for now, completely free. OpenAI recently launched its paid plan to users called ChatGPT Plus.

After its release on November 30 of last year, OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT gained over a million users in only five days, thanks to its genuine responses to user questions. In doing so, it scared off many established tech behemoths from the field. The AI-backed chatbot also inspired the IT community to consider various applications that may streamline various processes and keep them updated on developments in the field.
Meanwhile, Google has been working hard to implement an AI chatbot similar to ChatGPT into its services, but when this happens is still up in the air. One thing that is very certain is that Google is getting serious about stopping the spread of ChatGPT. Preparing to become one of the biggest Google ChatGPT competitors.
Google Bard AI release date
Which Google projects will be made available to the public is currently unknown. During an all-hands meeting to address the business’s response to ChatGPT, Google AI chief Jeff Dean informed staff that the company was proceeding “more prudently than a small startup.” For instance, spreading false information about a well-known corporation like Google would have even more severe consequences. According to reports, the internet giant is making safeguarding its search chatbot’s development a top priority. However, likely, Google’s search chatbot will soon be available as well, given rumors that Microsoft will integrate ChatGPT’s technology into Bing as soon as March.
Rumor: Google ChatGPT war heats up! February 8th could be a release date for Google Bard AI. Google is getting ready to unveil new details on its AI efforts. To better help people get the information they need, Google will be having an event soon to discuss how it is “using the power of AI to reimagine how people search for, explore and interact with information, making it more natural and intuitive than ever before to find what you need.” In this event, Google’s ChatGPT competitor can be revealed.

More Google chatbots are on the way
This year, the firm plans to release no fewer than 20 AI products, some of which will compete with ChatGPT in the chatbot market. The so-called Google Bard AI, a chatbot that employs Google’s LaMDA dialogue technology, could be a contender in this fight.
As we mentioned above, the LaMDA group has been tasked with developing ChatGPT alternatives for a while.
What is LaMDA?
LaMDA is “the language model” that people are afraid of. After a Google employee believed LaMDA was conscious, the AI became a topic of discussion due to the impression it gave off in its answers. In addition, the engineer hypothesized that LaMDA, like humans, expresses its anxieties through communication.
First and foremost, it is a statistical method for predicting the following words in a series based on the previous ones. LaMDA’s innovativeness lies in the fact that it may stimulate dialogue in a looser fashion than is allowed by task-based responses. So that the conversation can flow freely from one topic to another, a conversational language model needs to be familiar with concepts such as Multimodal user intent, reinforcement learning, and suggestions.
