How to use GPT-4?
At least one of the following conditions must be met before you can access GPT-4:
- API Waitlist: If you want to try the GPT-4 API (which is identical to the GPT-3.5-turbo API except for the ChatCompletions API), sign up for the GPT-4 waitlist. OpenAI will begin welcoming developers starting today and will gradually increase availability and rate limits to meet demand.
- Priority access: If a developer helps merge model assessments into OpenAI Evals, they will be given priority access to GPT-4’s API.
- ChatGPT Plus: Subscribers to ChatGPT Plus will have GPT-4 usage on chat.openai.com. OpenAI will set a use limit based on actual system usage and anticipated demand. There will still be a queue for anybody interested in using the API.
- Bing AI: Can I use GPT-4 for free? Yes! After the introduction of GPT-4, Microsoft announced that this LLM is already used in the Bing AI chatbot. If you have access to it, you can also experience the chat features of GPT-4 on Bing freely.
After you access it, the process same as usual. Give it a prompt and explore!
GPT-4’s primary advantage is its superior understanding and inventiveness when confronted with difficult instructions. OpenAI conducted numerous trials demonstrating GPT-4’s enhanced ability to handle complex tasks. The effect of this is clearly visible in the exam results.
So, is it the only one in the new GPT-4 features?
New GPT-4 features
How to use GPT-4 and its new features? This next generation of OpenAI’s language model is superior to previous versions in three ways originality, visual input, and longer context. According to OpenAI, GPT-4 is far more capable of original creation and effective user collaboration on creative projects. Several forms of creative writing, such as music, film scripts, technical manuals, and even “understanding a user’s writing style,” fall into this category. However, these are the biggest new features of GPT-4 briefly:
- Processes 8x the words of ChatGPT
- Handles text and images
- Can build websites from just an image
- Doing taxes
Let’s take a closer look at them.
Processes 8x the words of ChatGPT
OpenAI claims that the GPT-4 model, in contrast to the free version of ChatGPT’s 3,000-word limit, can react with up to 25,000 words. Because of this, the chatbot can respond with more nuance and context and process longer strings of text. Doing so can condense not just blog content but entire websites.
It is one of the most liked new GPT-4 features. Of course not!
Handles text and images
GPT-4, in contrast to the present version of ChatGPT, is able to process image inputs in addition to text inputs. Microsoft hinted about an upcoming video input feature for OpenAI at a recent AI symposium, but the company has yet to demonstrate any such functionality.
GPT-4 can even understand jokes now!
Are you wondering how to use GPT-4? As you can see above, you can use it to explain jokes you don’t understand. It is one of the most exciting new GPT-4 features.
Building websites from just an image
During the GPT-4 Developer Livestream, OpenAI demonstrated the platform’s ability to take a scribbled diagram of a website and convert it into a completely functional site that not only ran JavaScript but also generated more content to fill the site.

It is one of the most hyped new GPT-4 features.
Doing taxes
The GPT is now handling financial matters. Although GPT is not a tax professional, it would be cool if GPT-4 or a later model could be adapted into a tax tool that allows consumers to avoid the tax preparation sector by preparing their own returns, no matter how complex they may be.
This feature can be one of the most useful GPT-4 features in the future.
So is GPT-4 flawless?
GPT-4 limitations
We explained how to use GPT-4. So how can you not use it? Notwithstanding the advancements made by GPT-4, OpenAI acknowledges that the new language model does have some restrictions. The current form of GPT, according to OpenAI, still suffers from “social biases, hallucinations, and adversarial prompts.”
This means there are still some flaws, but OpenAI assures us they are working hard to fix them.
Let’s see GPT-4 features in action and learn how to use GPT-4 in real life.
GPT-4 use cases: Real-life applications
If you ask yourself, “What can I do with GPT-4?” If you are asking, this part is for you. Do you know that new GPT-4 features are already in use? These are the early adopters of GPT-4 worldwide:
- Duolingo
- Government of Iceland
- Morgan Stanley
- Be My Eyes
- Stripe
- Khan Academy
So what do they do with GPT-4?
Duolingo GPT-4 usage
With the help of GPT-4, Duolingo’s new premium tier, Duolingo Max, will include two AI-powered features: Role Play and Explain my Answer. Duolingo is ready to take advantage of new GPT-4 features!
Duolingo’s GPT-4 course is designed to teach students how to have natural conversations about a wide range of specialist topics. Duolingo has introduced these new features in Spanish and French, with plans to roll them out to more languages and bring even more features in the future.
Are you wondering how to use GPT-4? You can learn new languages with it.
Government of Iceland GPT-4 usage
Even the Government of Iceland wonders about how to use GPT-4! The government of Iceland is working alongside tech firms and OpenAI’s GPT-4 to advance the country’s native tongue. However, GPT-4 has made certain mistakes in Icelandic grammar and cultural understanding. Now, 40 volunteers supervised by Vilhjálmur Þorsteinsson (chief executive at language tech Miðeind ehf) are training GPT-4 with reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF).
GPT-4 learns from this criticism and improves its future answers as a result. Attempts to fine-tune a GPT-3 model with 300,000 Icelandic language prompts failed before RLHF because of the time-consuming and data-intensive process.
Prompt

Morgan Stanley GPT-4 usage
Morgan Stanley, a financial services corporation, employs a GPT-4-enabled internal chatbot that can scour Morgan Stanley’s massive PDF format for solutions to advisers’ concerns. With GPT-3 and now GPT-4 features, the firm has begun to investigate how to best make use of its intellectual capital.
Morgan Stanley has its own unique internal content library called intellectual capital, which was used to train the chatbot using GPT-4. Around 200 employees regularly make use of the system, and their suggestions help make it even better. The business is assessing further OpenAI technology that has the potential to improve insights from adviser notes and ease follow-up client conversations.
How to use GPT-4? You try Morgan Stanley’s chatbot.
Be My Eyes GPT-4 usage
Danish business Be My Eyes uses a GPT-4-powered ‘Virtual Volunteer’ within their software to help the visually impaired and low-vision with their everyday activities.
It allows them to read website content, negotiate challenging real-world circumstances, and make well-informed judgments at the moment, much like a human volunteer would.
How to use GPT-4? Be My Eyes, and OpenAI found a new to use it.
Stripe GPT-4 usage
Like the rest of the financial industry, Stripe’s support team had been employing GPT-3 to improve the quality of their customer service. It is now utilizing GPT-4 features to scan websites to learn how businesses use the platform so that it can tailor its support to their needs.
It can operate as a virtual assistant to developers, comprehending their inquiries, scanning technical material, summarizing solutions, and providing summaries of websites. Using GPT-4, Stripe can monitor community forums like Discord for signs of criminal activity and remove them as quickly as can.
Khan Academy GPT-4 usage
Khan Academy, a company that provides educational resources online, has begun utilizing GPT-4 feautes to power an artificially intelligent assistant called Khanmigo. In 2022, they started testing GPT-4 features; in 2023, the Khanmigo pilot program will be available to a select few. Those interested in joining the program can put their names on a waiting list.
Initial assessments suggest that GPT-4 could help students learn specific topics of computer programming while also gaining a broader appreciation for the relevance of their study. In addition, Khan Academy is trying out different ways that teachers might use new GPT-4 features in the curriculum development process.
