Lucas Roh is founder and CEO of Bigstep, a big data as a service company. Prior to Bigstep, Lucas founded and served as the CEO of Hostway Corporation, a global hosting company. Lucas was also a computer scientist at Argonne National Laboratory in Chicago, USA, where he did pioneering research in the field of compilers and automatic differentiation. Previously, Lucas had several years of software and hardware engineering experience; he has authored and co- authored over a dozen published academic papers, and has received several patents. He received his undergraduate degree in physics from the University of Chicago and a doctorate in computer science from Colorado State University.
